Workshops and Masterclasses
MGA utilises performance industry professionals to offer workshops, training opportunities and summer schools to young people interested in a future career in Performing Arts.
Workshops are often designed to complement full-time training and enable students to meet and work with young and successful professionals. Other workshops for younger aspiring performers – including our popular Summer School – offer the opportunity for intensive work on acting, singing and dance skills. And for intensive fun!
MGA workshops bring the opportunities and experiences usually only associated with London-based schools to students across the UK. We believe that learning from trained, working practitioners is the best way to understand and prepare for a career in the industry so we work with individuals and companies involved in all aspects of performing arts, from leading producers, agents, managers and casting directors to individual actors, singers and dancers, directors, choreographers and practitioners. This gives students and young professionals the opportunity to ‘test the water’.
Training opportunities are run by MGA throughout the year – more information is listed below. We constantly arrange new sessions for a variety of age and experience groups, and sometimes these are at short notice if a guest tutor becomes available – so please check our Facebook page for updates as well.
MGA also organise workshops and visiting teachers for other organisations including drama and performing arts schools, and for various colleges and local dance groups. Contact our Office for more information about our work for third-parties.
